Guanyinshan Park
Guanyinshan Park is located on the Dapeng Peninsula near to the Jinshawan Tourist Resort. The park is quite large featuring a mountain and an ancient temple.
Here you can see the ancient temple of Longyan, which was built during the Qing Dynasty. According to an inscription at the site, this temple was built in the Tongzhi Period of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1862-1874) and rebuilt in the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu (AD 1908).
Under the temple gate, there is a statue of Han Baiyu Guanyin with a pagoda is built in front of the temple. What is even more impressive is the clear spring in the cave under the altar of Guanyin Temple. This spring is warm in winter and cool in summer, clear and sweet, and has the effect of clearing the heat and clearing the eyes. It is known as “Xianshui”.
The park entry is at the corner of Jinsha Road and Pinxi Road and you can first go to the temple then follow the track up to the top the small mountain, about 20 min.
