MixC Shenzhen Bay
Shenzhen’s retail landscape is changing at a fast pace and there is no better signal of that the soon to open MixC Shenzhen Bay. You will know the famous luxury mega-mall MixC in Luohu which can easily claim to be the city’s’ number one mall and leisure destination especially for the more affluent.
The Shenzhen Bay area from Houhai through to Shekou is an area that has slowly been revitalized and has well and truly emerged as a very upmarket area which for retail shopping, dining and leisure was serviced by Coastal City, All City, and the redeveloped Shekou Sea World precinct.
With the China Resources headquarters development, of what locally is named the “Spring Bamboo” being a 392 m supertall skyscraper in the sleek shape of a bamboo shoot (some liken it to a bullet), there will also be a number of additional features to make it a very unique mixed-use development.
The development will include:
- MixC Shenzhen Bay – Four floor retail shopping, leisure, and dining
- China Resources Shenzhen Bay Sports Center
- Shenzhen Science and Technology Centre
- China Resources Headquarters office tower
- Arts and cultural centre
- Andaz Hotel
- Park View Manor residences
The new MixC won’t be quite as big being 80,000 sqm against the current 200,000 sqm that MixC Luohu occupies. Nonetheless, it’s still a massive mall. It also marks a major shift, and the growth, in core retail, dining, and leisure areas which was once dominated by developments in Futian and Luohu.
Expected to open in 2019. The mall is being developed by Lead 8.
